Mid-size bead embroidery kits are the 200×200 mm format, 146 designs in all. This is the step up from a small kit: twice the area, while 114 of the 146 stay at the easy level. Each kit holds artist canvas with the printed design, Czech Preciosa beads, a needle and instructions.

Who the format suits

200×200 mm is the best-balanced size: the finished piece already reads as a picture on the wall, yet it takes three or four weeks rather than half a year. If this is your first bead embroidery, a small kit at 150×150 mm is the wiser start; if you want more, see the big size kits.

Questions and answers

How long does a 200×200 kit take?

20–40 hours: a beginner lays 200–250 beads an hour, an experienced stitcher 300–400.

Do I need a hoop?

Not necessarily. At 200×200 mm the artist canvas still holds its shape, though a hoop keeps the tension more even.

How do I finish the piece?

On stretcher bars or in a frame: both are covered in stretching on bars and framing.

Is there a pattern without beads in this size?

Yes: patterns 200×200.
