Midi Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Time to bloom"
Description
“Time to bloom” is an open peony whose petals shift from crimson to blue.
What the picture shows
The flower fills almost the whole field and is seen from above. The outer petals are worked in cool lilac-blue beads, warming towards the middle into crimson and red, while the very centre holds an orange tuft of stamens dotted with small beads. The petals are stitched in rows that follow their shape, so every curve shows. Grey-steel ground and a few dark leaves appear at the corners; the ground stays printed and balances the saturated colour. Two petals in the foreground are folded back and show their underside — paler than the rest, they give the flower its depth.

A 200×200 mm square with one large flower works well on its own, with no neighbours on the wall. The finished piece is meant for gallery mounting, with no baguette and no passe-partout. The difficulty is average and there are about 4,921 beads: a big job, but a single motif that needs no constant switching. The grey ground at the corners stays calm, so the flower does not argue with a wall of any colour.
