Description
“Eternal tree” is a stylised tree of life in a round frame, treated like stained glass.
What the picture shows
A powerful tree with interlaced roots and a dense crown in green and golden tones grows in the centre. The sun rises behind it, sending yellow and ochre rays in every direction, with bands of fields beneath. The sky above is coiled into blue and white waves as in old engravings. A thick patterned ring holds the composition, and the corners of the square are filled with dark blue and wavy lines. The crown and the rays are worked in large areas, while the ornament of the ring is made of small repeating motifs. The thread length is 168 m.
