Description

“Delicate Lily of the valley” is a cream-and-olive composition in which white lilies and a pearly garland frame a pale oval with two little angels.

What the picture shows

The ground is soft olive silk with pale green highlights. On the left, large white lilies open with yellow stamens and narrow green leaves. Around the central oval runs a dense garland of small white flowers with yellow centres — this takes most of the beadwork. Inside the oval a printed pastel scene remains: two angels in pink with translucent wings, a thin branch and lilies of the valley. Along the bottom lie a strand of green pearl beads and cream rosettes. There is not much beading in this kit: 1,657 beads in five colours go on the flower border and a few accents, and the rest of the image stays printed on the canvas.
