Cross stitch kits for clothing are 20 compact motifs meant not for a framed picture but for something you wear: a shirt pocket, a collar point, a sleeve, a lapel. Sizes run from 60×72 to 105×80 mm, all rated easy, using 11–20 colours of floss.
What is included
- Aida fabric.
- Floss with enough thread for the whole motif.
- An embroidery needle.
- The chart and instructions covering how to transfer the motif onto the garment.
The garment itself is not included: the motif is sized for your own piece of clothing.
What makes them different
- The background is not stitched. The colour of the garment does the work, so the motif reads as part of the clothing rather than as a patch.
- Short thread lengths. A 16-colour motif uses about 21 m of floss: a few evenings, not weeks.
- Vertical format. Most designs are taller than they are wide, which sits better on a pocket or a collar.
Subjects
Animals and birds (10 kits), decorative motifs (6), insects (3) and fantasy (1).
Questions and answers
Is the garment included?
No. The kit covers everything for the embroidery; you choose the garment.
What fabric can I stitch on?
Firm cotton, linen or denim. On very fine or jersey fabric the motif may pull.
How long does a motif take?
3–8 hours depending on size and colour count.
Can the garment be washed afterwards?
Yes, by hand or on a delicate cycle. The floss is washfast, but avoid drying in direct sun.
