Description

“On the tip of the tail” shows two grey animals nose to nose with a small red heart beside them.

What the picture shows

The figures are worked in a watercolour manner: there is no solid outline, grey and blue-grey patches fade into almost white, and dark blue marks only the eyes, the ears and a few shadows. Both animals have large pointed ears, pink noses and thin white whiskers and look like kittens; they lean towards each other until their muzzles almost touch. Long fluffy tails fall below, and a small red heart is stitched near the tip of one of them — the only bright accent in the piece. Twelve floss colours give soft transitions of grey. The background is left unstitched: the pale fabric of the shirt works as air around the figures.
