Description
“Grandma’s Treats” shows an elf grandmother with a plate of biscuits and two small helpers.
What the picture shows
The old lady sits in an armchair: a patterned red knitted jumper, a green pointed cap with a pompom, a white apron and round glasses. She holds a plate of fresh biscuits. Two little elves in striped stockings and pointed shoes potter about on either side — one is already reaching for a treat. The background is not stitched, so all the attention stays on the figures, and the count 18 canvas allows the faces and the knitting texture to be worked in detail. The knitting of the jumper is given in small alternating stitches and the faces in pale skin tones with a flush of colour. The thread length is 85 m.
