Description

“Magical dreams” is a round medallion holding a golden moon and a blue starry sky.

What the picture shows

The composition is a circle within a circle. The outer rim is an ornamental band of violet, orange and gold segments with fine scrollwork. Inside, a broad crescent curves through, worked in gold and honey beads, and cradled in it lies a deep blue disc of night scattered with golden stars of different sizes. Bronze clasps catch the circle at the top and bottom. The grey ground at the corners stays printed, so the medallion reads as a self-contained emblem. The stars inside the circle differ: some are made of four beads, others have rays and stretch half a centimetre across.
