Description

“Color harmony” is a butterfly with dark patterned wings resting on a flowering branch.

What the picture shows

The wings are spread to their full width: a base of dark brown and blue, crossed by brick-red patches, pale blue eyespots and a narrow light border. The butterfly holds on to a thin branch, around which white flowers with yellow centres, green foliage and small lilac clusters open out. The ground is white with a faint pink-lilac wash at the top; it stays printed, which makes the wings read as darker still. The beads cover the butterfly, the flowers, the leaves and the branch. The left and right wings are not mirror images: one is turned a little further and shows an extra row of blue eyespots.
