Description

“Hedgehog” is a smiling little animal whose spines glow in every colour of the rainbow.

What the picture shows

The creature faces the viewer and fills almost the whole square. The spines radiate from the muzzle: pink, lilac, pale blue, yellow and lime rows of beads lie one after another like brushstrokes. The face is warm ochre-red, with black bead eyes and a dark nose. At the bottom the paws rest on a turquoise band. The ground is a watercolour wash of turquoise, blue and white with splashes; it stays printed, so everything around the hedgehog remains soft. The spines are beaded from tip to base, so each row is a little longer than the one before and the colours do not blur into each other.
