Description

“Flickering wings” is a dragonfly with blue-and-orange wings above water flowers.

What the picture shows

The dragonfly spreads all four wings across the full width: pale blue and turquoise near the body, warming to ochre and gold at the tips, with the veins stitched in a darker tone. A slim striped abdomen trails downward. Flowers surround it: a cream-white and a blue one above, two pink ones with yellow centres below, and curving dark green leaves between them. The grey-turquoise washed ground stays printed. Twenty bead colours give smooth transitions in both the wings and the petals. The wings only look transparent: inside they are beaded more sparsely, and the printed ground is deliberately left showing between the rows.
