Description
“Spring’s Embrace” shows a white goat among branches of pink blossom.
What the picture shows
The animal’s head is given in close-up: curved grey horns, long white hair with grey and ochre shadows, attentive yellow eyes. Large pink-red flowers with yellow stamens open around it, with small buds and green leaves between them. The background is laid in light blurred patches of blue and pink that never close up completely, so the white canvas shows through and leaves the picture some air. The goat’s coat is worked in long pale rows with grey shadows, the flowers in saturated pink-red with yellow centres. The kit holds 35 thread colours and 69 m of cotton.
