Description

“Winter house” shows a tall narrow four-storey stone house in a snowy town.

What the picture shows

The house is built of beige stone and its red roof carries a cap of snow. In the attic there is an arched window with a curtain and a cat on the sill; a floor below a Christmas tree glows with a garland, and lower still there is a balcony with red railings. At street level a red door with a green wreath stands beside a lamp post and a ladder. A snowman waits on the left; bare trees and a red bench sit in the drifts on the right. The deep blue sky with its yellow moon, stars and white snowflakes is fully stitched.
