Cross Stitch Kit "Tuileries Garden"
Description
“Tuileries Garden” shows the Eiffel Tower seen through bare branches from behind a wrought-iron park fence. A restrained, almost monochrome design.
What the picture shows
The tower stands in the upper half, its lattice silhouette barely showing through the treetops. The trees are built from small strokes of ochre, olive and warm grey, the branches thin and dense. A wrought-iron railing with rings and scrolls runs across the format below, and beneath it cobblestones laid in arcs. The colours are few and muted — sand, grey-green, a pale blue sky. The ecru cloth carries that range well, though the canvas is fully covered in cross stitch. The tower is off-centre, shifted to the right, so the trees and the railing take up most of the area.
