Description

Two swallows and sunflowers inside a golden circle — “The melody of swallows” is stitched on coffee canvas.

What the picture shows

One swallow perches on a stem with its blue-black wings folded and its rust-coloured throat turned towards you, while the second flies in from above with open wings. Between them stand three sunflowers with yellow petals and dark centres, green leaves and buds. A large circle worked in golden metallic thread frames the composition and takes 30 m of the total length. The coffee canvas inside the circle stays as the background and warms the whole scene. The sunflower petals are worked in two or three yellows around a brown centre, and the swallows’ feathers in blue with a black outline. The total thread length is 103 m.
