Cross Stitch Kit "The flight of the hummingbird"
Description
“The flight of the hummingbird” catches the moment when the bird hangs in the air beside clusters of wisteria.
What the picture shows
The hummingbird is shown in profile with an open wing and a long thin beak; its plumage shifts through emerald, turquoise and violet, and the tail carries a blue metallic sheen worked in silver metallic thread. Lilac wisteria racemes with tiny flowers hang from above and to the right, green leaves between them. Some of the leaves are worked in outline only, so the white canvas around stays a light ground. The wisteria racemes are worked in small strokes of lilac and violet, the bird’s plumage in short rows with sharp transitions. The thread length is 101 m.

At 250×300 mm and 52 thread colours, the plumage transitions take the most attention here. A frame is chosen separately. The strongest thing here is the contrast of cool lilac against warm green. The QR code opens the chart in the SAGA app, so the shading of the plumage can be checked right on screen.
