Description

“Sweet clover” shows a few meadow clover heads and a dragonfly hovering above them.

What the picture shows

Pink and lilac clover heads rise on thin stems, with the familiar trefoil leaves and their pale crescent markings spreading thickly below. A dragonfly with a green body and open translucent pink wings flies at the top. The background is laid in soft blurred patches of light green and pink that never close up completely, so the white canvas shows through here and there and gives the picture air. The clover heads are made of short strokes in several pinks, and the dragonfly’s wings of almost transparent pale stitches. The kit holds 37 thread colours and 86 m of cotton.
