“Summer story” shows a house with a blue roof in a flowering garden above a sea bay.

What the picture shows

At the centre stands a two-storey house with a pointed turret, a white porch and steps, with a sandy path leading to the door. The garden around it is dense: blue and pink hydrangeas, white daisies, pink foxgloves, a green lawn, a white gate and fence on the left, and a small table with two chairs on the grass. Tall trees grow behind the house, while on the left a bay opens up with a red-and-white lighthouse on a green headland and a sailing boat on the water. A pale unstitched border of canvas frames the scene.
