Description

“Summer road” — a dragonfly built from mirror-symmetrical patterns on light blue canvas.

What the picture shows

The wings open across the full width of the square and are made of small ornaments: bands, teeth, diamonds and scrolls repeat on both sides of the axis. The upper pair runs in crimson, fuchsia and violet, the lower in blue, turquoise and emerald, with flashes of orange and yellow along the edges. The body is long, clearly segmented, with a slender tail. Eleven thread colours are laid as clean patches without blending — the design rests on pattern, not on shading. PRECIOSA #10 beads mark the key points of the ornament. The ground is left unstitched — the pale blue canvas stays open and gives the piece air. The wings nowhere touch the edges: free space is deliberately left around them. Eleven thread colours across 70 m of thread, with almost no blending.
