“Summer delight” is a stitched sampler headed Summer favorites, listing everything one misses in winter — from watermelon to flip-flops.

What the picture shows

Large pink-and-coral lettering runs across the top, and below it several rows of small objects labelled in English: sunglasses, shells, a barbecue, a slice of watermelon, a straw hat, a bottle of lotion, glasses of iced tea, a book, a spray of lavender. Green palm and fern leaves frame the composition. The colours are clean and saturated — grass green, turquoise, coral and lemon. The canvas is covered completely, and the beads pick out the smaller details. The letters are worked with a colour gradient from raspberry to coral and carry a thin white outline.
