Cross Stitch Kit "Spaces of Savannah"
Description
“Spaces of Savannah” shows a lone acacia against a hot sunset. The design is worked in a rounded format, suited to a hoop.
What the picture shows
The tree grows slightly right of centre: a thick curved trunk, branches spreading in a wide umbrella, the crown taken in deep purple and blue. A second, smaller acacia stands behind it. The sky runs in bands from yellow and orange near the horizon to lilac above, with clouds picked out in thin strokes. The ground below is terracotta, with small indigo bushes and a pale path. The fabric is stitched completely, with no open areas — which is why the colours of the sky flow smoothly into one another. In the photo the piece is shown in a hoop, which is not included in the kit. The acacia crown is built from small separate stitches laid in different directions, so the foliage does not look like a solid patch. The trunk has cracks and thickenings near the base, and the grass below is worked in short vertical strokes in two or three shades.
