Description

“Silver land” shows a mountain view set into a diamond, with a row of arrows and feathers in boho style beneath it. The design is graphic, with almost no shading.

What the picture shows

Inside the diamond you can see a snowy peak and a dark coniferous forest descending in several tiers; the colours here run from almost black to pale blue. The sky above the mountain is light, with two tiny birds. Lower down the diamond turns into a geometric pendant: thin lines, diamond signs, triangles and long arrows with feathers at their ends. All of it is stitched in one deep blue thread on white fabric, which stays as the background. There are only 9 thread colours — the piece rests on a clear outline and rhythm rather than on colour. The forest inside the diamond is shown in several planes: the first row of firs is nearly black, the next ones lighten, and the last is barely visible against the slope. The feathers in the pendant differ in shape, and the lines between them are worked in an even stitch without breaks.
