What the picture shows

Books in green, blue, red and ochre are laid in layers that narrow towards the top, with a green garland and red baubles winding between them. A yellow star shines at the tip, red bows and presents lie at the base, and a white cup sits to one side. Blue snowflakes are scattered over the white canvas; the background is not stitched, which keeps the tree light. The book spines are worked as even rectangles in different colours, with the garland and bows as small accents on top. The kit holds 25 thread colours and 47 m of cotton.
