“Night euphoria” — night flowers on black: cool lilac, blue and pink blooms gathered in a half-circle.

What the picture shows

The bouquet is laid out like a fan and shifted downwards: large open flowers with broad petals in lilac and lavender, blue cups beside them, pink bells and small stars on thin stems. The petals have no sharp contour — the light falls on them in patches and the edges are lost in the dark. The leaves are deep grey-green with a cold undertone. Thirty-four thread colours across 70 m, most of them spent on transitions inside the petals, so the flowers look lit from within. The black canvas stays open and works as the night ground. The palest petals are gathered at the centre of the bouquet and everything darkens gradually towards the edges. The stems are barely visible: they are only half a tone darker than the ground.
