Description

“New Year's honey” is a shaggy ginger calf with a fringe over its eyes, standing in front of fir branches hung with ornaments.

What the picture shows

The animal is shown full length and almost head-on: thick ginger hair in long strands, a broad pale muzzle with a pink nose, short horns, black hooves. Green and turquoise fir branches spread behind it, hung with ornaments — a patterned blue ball, a red one with glitter, a lantern, a cone. A large pink pouch tied with a blue ribbon hangs at the upper right. The palette is warm and saturated: ginger, emerald, raspberry, blue. The background is light and nearly empty, so the calf reads at once. The level is simple, even with forty-six colours in the kit. The ornaments on the branches differ in size and none repeats, so each one has to be stitched separately.
