Description

“Little secret” is a group of white crocuses with a tiny house among them, set into the shape of a maple leaf.

What the picture shows

The crocuses fan up from the lower edge: large white buds with lilac and pink veining, some still closed, some just opened. Long narrow leaves with a white stripe down the middle stretch between them. A small house with an orange roof and pale blue walls stands below, almost hidden in the stems. Pale circles and small dots are scattered over the black ground, and bees sit in three places. The black canvas is left open and reads as a night garden. Thirty-six shades over sixty-six metres of floss. The crocus petals are lighter than the leaves, so the flowers step forward even against the black ground.
