Description

“Golden dragonfly” is a dragonfly with wide-open wings and gold pendants hanging below. The widest design in the series.

What the picture shows

The wings spread across the full width: deep turquoise with a black net of veins and a gold edging. The body is elongated and worked in gold segment by segment, with large eyes and antennae. Chains with drop-shaped pendants hang symmetrically under the wings, and a small crown rises above the head. The surrounding ornament is built of scrolls and net diamonds. The black canvas stays as the ground: it is not filled in, and the gold glows more strongly against it. The pendants below are symmetrical and repeat a drop shape, which closes the composition at the bottom. The dragonfly’s antennae are drawn as thin lines, barely visible against the black ground.
