Cross Stitch Kit "Flight towards the sun"
Description
Hot-air balloons rise over a mountain valley: “Flight towards the sun” is about the morning hour when you can see far.
What the picture shows
A large balloon with red, blue and yellow gores and a wicker basket fills the foreground, while several smaller orange and striped ones float higher and further away. The valley opens below: blue and violet mountains, dark bands of forest, a winding river and warm orange patches of an autumn tree in the lower corner. The pale sky with its blurred clouds is worked in soft transitions and takes up most of the 56 thread colours. The foreground balloon is built from crisp gores, while the distant ones are smaller and softer, and that is what creates the sense of distance. The kit holds 155 m of thread.
