Description

“Feeling colors” is a bunch of cosmos flowers arranged as if they had just been cut and laid on light paper. Thin stems fan out in different directions and keep the composition airy.

What the picture shows

Three large blooms set the rhythm: a white one with a yellow centre at the bottom, a lilac-pink one in the middle and a crimson one at the top right. Between them sit smaller buds and feathery foliage worked almost thread by thread. The colours move from cool lilac to warm pink, and the greenery is light with a bluish cast. The background stays plain white fabric — only the bouquet itself is stitched, which makes the stems and petals read especially clearly. The 38 thread colours are needed for the shading inside the petals. Each flower has its own structure: the lower white one shows fine veins on the petals, the central one has darker veins and a scatter of pollen around the heart, and the crimson one at the top has petals bent slightly back. Small buds sit on hair-thin stems.
