Cross Stitch Kit "Enchanted by the moonlight"
Description
“Enchanted by the moonlight” shows a lilac butterfly resting on the border between the golden and the night side of the moon. The composition is closed in a circle of lavender and roses.
What the picture shows
The butterfly spreads its wings across almost the full width of the design: they are purple with ochre patches and a dark rim, and the pattern on them is symmetrical. Behind it is the moon, split in half — the left part golden with craters, the right part deep blue with small stars. A large pink rose with dark green leaves grows below, and silvery lilac lavender sprigs rise around the circle. The golden areas of the moon are stitched with metallic thread, so they really catch the light. The background inside the circle is stitched; outside it the white fabric stays bare. The butterfly’s wings are the most interesting part: they carry dark eyespots with a yellow rim, thin veins and a pale fringe along the edge. The body is worked in short dark stitches, and the antennae run upward in a single line. The rose petals below have clear shadows between the layers.
