Description

“Doves” shows two white doves at the centre of a horizontal flower garland.

What the picture shows

The birds press close together: wings folded, feathers worked in white with grey and lilac shadows, beaks touching. Around them lie pink roses in different stages of opening, small yellow blossoms, lilac panicles and dark green leaves. On the right the garland rises into a tall arch of flowers, and pale lilac ribbons with a bow wind between the stems. Small pink dots are scattered across the whole field. The white canvas around is left unstitched.
