“Dense forest” — an owl on a branch in a night forest, beneath the moon and tall trunks.

What the picture shows

The bird sits in the upper third of the design, turned towards the viewer: a round head, large dark eyes, plumage stitched in lilac, blue and grey in small scales, lighter on the breast. A full moon rises behind it — a pale disc in a warm halo. Narrow dark trunks run up the left and right and close overhead in branches with small leaves. The lower part is filled with tall grasses and wild flowers — white, yellow, crimson — worked in lively stitches. PRECIOSA #10 beads are set as stars across the sky. Thirty-four thread colours across 184 m, the longest kit in this batch. The branch the owl sits on crosses the whole width and divides the design in two. The grasses below are worked in lighter threads than the forest, so the lower part is not muffled.
