Cross Stitch Kit "Dance of the leaves"
Description
“Dance of the leaves” is a symmetrical botanical ornament built from leaves of different shapes around a central rosette.
What the picture shows
At the centre sits a large rosette flower with pointed green petals and a golden-brown core. Broad dark and light green leaves, fern fronds and oak and maple leaves in warm ochre tones spread from it in four directions. The corners are held by thin scrolls and small pink dots worked as single stitches. The ecru canvas stays as the background and gives the ornament a warm, almost parchment tone. The leaves are worked in large even blocks, so the stitching moves quickly and the ornament stays crisp. The whole design uses 115 m of thread.

Despite the generous 300×300 mm size the design uses only 16 thread colours, so it stitches in large even areas. A frame or a hoop for finishing is not included. The symmetry is easiest to control if you start from the central rosette. The chart is on paper, and the QR code opens it in the SAGA app — handy if you take the work with you.
