Description

“Colorful domes” is a panorama of a city of domes and towers against mountains, drawn in thin outline. The piece is 380 mm wide.

What the picture shows

A large building with a tall arched entrance, several domes and pointed turrets stands at the centre; the domes are turquoise, emerald and ochre with cross banding. Smaller structures with the same domes spread out on either side, with dark cypresses and rounded trees between them. Mountains are marked behind by faint lines, and the sky is pink and peach. A band of greenery and water runs below. Twenty-three colours: much of the surface is left unstitched, so the piece looks like a tinted drawing. The domes are drawn in more detail than anything else, while the side buildings are given in outline alone. The cypresses are darker than everything else and divide the panorama into several even parts.
