Cross Stitch Kit "Breathing of the Forest"
Description
“Breathing of the Forest” is a dry autumn armful — fluffy seed heads, small berries and butterflies gathered into a round bouquet.
What the picture shows
The bouquet has almost no stems: florets, seed pods and leaves are packed into a round mass with thin grasses escaping below. Pale fluffy heads like dandelion clocks sit at the centre, surrounded by russet and ochre leaves, dark berries and small lilac flowers. Two butterflies with russet wings rest at the edges. The palette is muted and warm, close to the beige cloth, with almost no bright accents. Worked in solid cross stitch, the texture comes out dense and matt. The fluffy heads are worked in scattered pale stitches, so they look lighter than the rest of the bouquet.
