Description

“A month for lovers” is a corked glass bottle with a young moon shining inside it over a tiny forest.

What the picture shows

The bottle stands at the centre: rounded sides, a narrow neck, a wooden cork on top. The glass is rendered in translucent blue-lilac stitches with white highlights at the edges. Inside is a small sky of its own: a golden crescent moon, a band of dark firs beneath it and two figures standing side by side, looking up. A blue and violet cloud with small stars spreads around the bottle, thickening towards the edges and leaving the centre light. The blue cloth supports the nocturnal range but is fully covered. The darkest areas are in the corners and the lightest is inside the bottle itself, which makes the light look real. The cork on top is wooden and warm in tone — the only daytime detail in the piece.
