Description

“9 little cozy tales” shows nine windows and doors, each with its own small story. A cat appears in almost every one.

What the picture shows

The motifs are set out in three rows. There is a double wooden door with a brass handle, a white window with a cat on the sill, a stained-glass panel in blue and red, an arched window with blue curtains and a cat, a window looking onto a green garden, a window with a checked curtain, another pale door, a shopfront with a red awning and a round window with double casements. The frames are stitched in brown, white and grey, and behind the glass you see sky or greenery. The background is not stitched, so each motif stands separately on the white fabric. There are 17 thread colours. Each window has its own little story: a cat asleep on a sill, a potted plant, a tree seen through the glass. The frames differ in shape — straight, arched, round — and each has its own colour and way of hatching.
