Description
“Winter Carol” shows a pale kid goat with golden horns and a bell at its neck standing in the snow among fir trees.
What the picture shows
Green beads build the two firs on either side and a few sprigs below, red ones the flowers at the edges, white ones the snow underfoot and the small flakes on the ground, and golden beads the horns, the collar with its bell and a few stars above. The kid itself stays printed: soft beige coat and dark eyes. The grey ground carries printed stars and is deliberately left unbeaded. The circle is trimmed with red beads and a white ribbon sits on top. The bell on the collar is marked with a single large golden bead.

The two parts of the work are sewn together, the fiberfill goes inside and a loop is left. The goat is a familiar figure from carols, so the ornament suits Christmas rather than merely New Year decor. The kit is simple: five bead colours and a colour pattern printed straight on the canvas. The fir branches, guelder rose, jingle bells, twine and glass drops in the photo are styling props.
