What the picture shows

The body is worked in warm beige and golden beads, the horns and hooves in white, and the snowy ground underfoot in a row of matt white beads. The background stays printed: pale snowflakes and faint highlights. The circle is trimmed with pink beads and the ribbon is pink as well. The second part of the work is a white base with a large crimson-pink snowflake ringed by small flowers. The calf’s hooves and horns are barely there — the palest patches in the piece.

Both pieces are sewn together with the padding inside and hung on the ribbon. The soft pink and beige palette suits a child’s room, so this ornament need not live only on the tree. The golden beads, confetti and the ceramic plate in the photo are styling props. The beige and golden beads are close in tone, so it is worth laying them out separately before you start. The pattern is printed on the canvas in colour, with no squares to count.
