Christmas Ornament Bead Embroidery Kit "Warm hat"

“Warm hat” shows a long-necked pink bird in a red-and-white knitted hat peeking out from between fir branches.

What the picture shows

The square base has a muted green ground on which the beaded accents read clearly: a striped hat in red, white and pink beads, dark green needles running around the circle, pink rosette flowers in the corners and a few red berries. The bird’s neck and head stay printed, with only the outline underlined by beads. The second part of the work is a matching green square with a tall white candle among yellow and red flowers.

The finished pieces are sewn together with the padding inside and hung on a white ribbon. The muted green makes the ornament suitable well beyond the tree — it also looks good on a mirror or a window handle. The red cap, baubles and dried orange in the photo are styling props. The stripes on the hat are worked colour by colour, and it is they that set the rhythm of the whole piece. The pattern is in colour, printed on the canvas.
