Description
“Boo!” shows two white ghosts with round black eyes emerging from a warm russet dusk.
What the picture shows
The figures are worked in white and cream beads laid in wavy rows that fall like cloth; the eyes are marked with two black beads. Pink and peach beads rise from below as light falling on the ghosts from behind. The printed russet ground is exactly what makes the white beads glow. The circle is trimmed with a copper rim and the ribbon is silver-grey. The second part of the work uses the same base with a witch on a broom against a large moon.

The two pieces are sewn together with the padding inside and a ribbon loop is left at the top. The pendant is small, so it often joins a garland of several Halloween ornaments. The pattern is printed straight on the canvas, with no separate symbol key to decode. The skull stickers, dark card and bare twigs in the photo are styling props. The wavy rows of white beads are best worked from the top down, so the folds fall evenly.
