What the picture shows

The printed image repeats the familiar scene: three angels at a table with a chalice, a building, a tree and a mountain behind them, a golden ground and an inscription above. The pink, blue and green robes of the angels stay as printing. Two wide bands, at the top and at the bottom, are beaded: dark blue and violet laid solid, with white beads and gold bugles set through them for rhythm. The edges of the piece are outlined in gold. The blue-violet border works like a shadow around the light-filled icon. White beads sit unevenly among the blue ones, so the field shimmers a little. The gold edge separates the border from the printed field.
