Description

“Rainbow Unicorn” shows a unicorn's head in profile with a mane of rainbow tassels.

What the picture shows

The outline of the head and neck is drawn in white thread stretched between nails in long crossings, so the shape stays open and graphic and the dark wood is visible inside it. The muzzle reaches forward, the ear is worked in pink, and a sharp yellow horn rises above the brow with a lilac curl at its base. The mane is made differently from the rest: dense bundles of thread tied in rows and trimmed, running through the rainbow — red, orange, yellow, lime, green, pale blue and blue. A wavy forelock falls along the neck. Ten colours are in the kit, but most of the surface belongs to the white outline and the coloured tassels of the mane. The tassels of the mane lie in layers and partly cover the white outline of the neck, so they are the first thing the eye catches.
