Description

“Leaf” is a maple leaf in which the colour shifts from green to red.

What the picture shows

The leaf fills almost the whole dark board, its stalk pointing down. Each of the five lobes takes its own colour: green on the left, then yellow, orange and two reds, so the leaf reads as an autumn transition caught in a single moment. The veins are left as empty strips between the wound areas, and it is they that hold the shape. The stalk is thin and dark brown. Six drop-shaped glass stones are fixed under the leaf and read as dew, and ten Preciosa No. 10 beads are scattered over the lobes. There are seven thread colours, 29 m in all.
