Description

“Bicycle” is a string art piece with a city bicycle in profile on a light wooden base.

What the picture shows

The frame, handlebars, pedals and stand are worked in bright green thread, which also fills the triangle of the frame with a dense mesh. Both wheels are laid out in black around the rim, and inside each one white spokes are stretched towards the hub — the finest part of the work. The saddle, the rectangular basket above the wheel and the chain are done in white. Nails with pale heads run around the whole outline and repeat the line of the frame and the rims. Three colours are used: green, black and white. The base here is light, almost honey-coloured, so the threads read clearly on it and the wood is visible through every gap. The frame is built from two triangles, and the green thread inside them runs in different directions, so one part of the frame looks lighter than the other.
