Description

“St. Tatiana” is a martyr holding a green palm branch. Red robes and a pale blue veil carry the whole composition.

What the picture shows

The saint stands upright, her head slightly turned. The veil is worked in pale blue and white beads laid in even rows that read as pearls; a darker blue cap shows beneath it. Red clothing fills the lower half of the image. Her right hand, raised to shoulder height, holds a green palm branch, while the left rests on her chest. The halo is amber and the ground is golden rays. The canvas is edged with a narrow gold band with red accents at the corners; a rectangular name plaque takes up the lower part. The clothing, the ring of the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the palms and the gold ground are left to the print.
