Description

“St. Symeon” is a mini icon of the righteous saint: a young man in a turquoise caftan with a large scroll. One of the most economical kits in the batch — about 1,725 beads.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown as a young man with chestnut hair and a short beard. His caftan is a bright turquoise set in two blue-green shades, which makes the cloth look lustrous; a pale shirt placket strung with pearl beads runs down his chest. A green band shows from under the caftan at the foot. With both hands he unrolls a large scroll with a text in Church Slavonic that takes up almost a quarter of the image. The halo is a ring of amber beads, and the rays behind stay as print on the art canvas. A three-line cartouche runs below, flanked by beaded rosettes on gold.
