“St. Roman” is a young saint with an open scroll covered in text. Green, red and blue in one image.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, beardless, with short dark hair. The clothing is complex in colour: a green tunic with a white pearl band across the chest, a blue insert on the sleeve and a red cloak falling from the left shoulder. His left hand holds a large open scroll densely covered with lines of text, his right is raised. The halo is amber and the ground is golden rays. The beading takes the clothing, the halo and the plaque frame, while the face, the hands and the scroll itself remain printed, as does the radiance.
