“St. Philip” is a young apostle with an open scroll and a green cloak. Green with violet — an uncommon pair in the series.

What the picture shows

The apostle is shown to the waist, beardless, with wavy dark hair. A green cloak falls from his shoulders and covers his left arm, with a violet-red tunic beneath. Both hands hold an open scroll covered with lines of writing, lying diagonally across the lower part of the image. The halo is amber and the ground is golden rays with a few red dots at the top. The beading takes the clothing, the halo and the plaque frame, while the face, the hands and the field of the scroll remain printed, as does the radiance.
