Mini Icon Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "St. Oleg"

“St. Oleg” is a prince in monastic dress, a dark cowl over his head. The darkest icon in the batch — brown and deep red.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist in a dark monastic cowl that covers his head and shoulders. His beard is grey and his gaze is lowered. The mantle is worked in dark brown beads shot with russet, and a band of red clothing shows beneath it. His right hand is pressed to his chest, his left is lowered. The halo is a narrow ring of amber beads and the ground is golden rays, particularly striking against the dark figure. A gold border runs along the whole edge, and the lower part of the image is taken up by a name plaque between two ornaments. The clothing, the ring of the halo and the border are beaded; the face, the hands and the gold ground are left to the print.
